What a year.
Let’s see, where to start. Spent a lot of time with friends and family. Worked on projects. Had a couple of mini holidays. Wrote blog posts. Announced that we’re having a baby. Got married and most recently to add to the pile, handed in my notice.
Friends and family first. It’s been a year of connection and reconnection. Whether it was late-night conversations over drinks or just quiet evenings with loved ones, these moments felt more important than ever. We also had the joy of celebrating my now-wife’s graduation from her university degree—a huge milestone and a proud moment for both of us. Time spent with the people who matter most is always time well spent.
On the project front, I found myself diving into some exciting ideas. Some made it to the finish line, others are still simmering on the back burner. But each one taught me something valuable. There’s a certain satisfaction in seeing an idea come to life—or realising when it’s time to let it evolve.
Holidays this year were few and far between, but for good reason. Most of our time and energy was poured into planning the wedding. Every little detail, every decision, every to-do list item became part of the adventure. And honestly, it was worth every moment.
Writing has remained a consistent outlet. Putting thoughts into words, sharing them, and occasionally hearing back from readers has been something I’ve enjoyed throughout the year. If you’re reading this, thank you. It genuinely means a lot.
Then came two of the biggest milestones of the year: announcing our baby and getting married. Each of these deserves its own novel, but in short—I’m overjoyed, grateful, and still a little bit in awe. Life is changing in big, beautiful ways, and I’m here for it.
And finally, handing in my notice. It wasn’t a slow, drawn-out decision—it happened quickly, almost instinctively. Sometimes you just know when it’s time for a change, and this was one of those moments. I’ll share more about what’s next soon, but for now, I’m leaning into the uncertainty with open arms.
So here’s to a year that was full to the brim. Big moments, small joys, and everything in between. Thanks for being along for the ride—let’s see where the next chapter takes us.
