As I look out of my window, the sky seems to be offering a drizzle, a typical sight in the UK, a sight we have become all too familiar with over the past few months. The winter has been harsh, and the spring, a tad bit more generous with cold showers. But if my intuition is anything to go by, we are in for an insanely warm summer this year.
The cold we’ve experienced so far this year and the copious amounts of rain can often result in a warmer summer. There’s a fascinating science behind it. The Earth absorbs this rainwater, which warms up due to the Earth’s internal heat. As summer approaches, this heat is released back into the atmosphere, causing warmer temperatures. Thus, it’s time to dust off your barbecue grills and dig out your sunhats. Summer this year promises to be a scorcher!
In other news, my secret project has been coming along nicely. I can’t spill too many beans just yet, but I will say this – it’s innovative, exciting, and something I’ve been dreaming of bringing to life for a long time. I’ve been burning the midnight oil, working on it and honestly, it’s been both challenging and immensely rewarding. Stay tuned for more updates on this front.
Meanwhile, my app, which some of you may have already downloaded, is doing extremely well. I am thrilled to share that we’ve hit a significant milestone in terms of installs. In a strategic move, I’ve set up a dummy app studio to house the app, providing a layer of anonymity and ensuring it’s not all directly linked to my personal name. It’s a setup that is working out splendidly so far.
And when I’m not knee-deep in code or mulling over project strategies, I’ve been devoting some time to language learning. This endeavour began as a hobby but has since turned into a personal passion. Currently, I have Greek, French, Chinese, and Welsh on my plate, each with its unique syntax and cultural nuances. Learning these languages has been an enriching experience, one that has broadened my perspective and honed my cognitive abilities.
On a more personal note, I recently had a visit with my surgeon. It was one of those appointments that, although necessary, can sometimes leave one feeling a tad anxious. But, to my relief, he was able to explain several things and clarify a number of concerns I had. It’s meetings like these that remind me of the importance of good communication in healthcare. It’s put my mind at ease, and for that, I am grateful.
As we move into what is set to be a warm and sunny summer, I hope to pen more of these blog posts. I have always enjoyed sharing my journey. Here’s to a glorious summer, more app milestones, language victories, and exciting project updates. Stay safe, stay healthy, and remember to stay hydrated this summer!
Until the next post.
